Sol Basconcillo

Born in Naples, Italy, Sol was raised in South Carolina, where he currently resides. He was often behind a camera at family gatherings, and eventually studied media arts in college. After graduating, he photographed our military throughout the southeastern USA. These days, Sol enjoys taking pictures of families, weddings, and travel adventures.
Sol's downtime usually involves the beach, music, movies, or at home dance parties with his wife, Josephine, and their children.

The Approach


Sol feels a sense of purpose in helping families share their stories. He strives to document moments with honesty and subtlety, occasionally directing when necessary. A self-proclaimed camera enthusiast, Sol enjoys shooting with both film and digital formats.
